Resources for Land Trusts
By working with willing landowners to protect their properties, land trusts help protect drinking water supplies, parkland and trails, working farms and forests, wildlife habitat, and other natural areas.
Land must be protected

There is currently inadequate protection for landscapes in our most important natural land areas. As a result, they are being lost and degraded at an alarming rate. Protection of land , however, must be balanced with allowing people to explore the protected lands so that they can build connections that will lead them to acting as active stewards in protecting the lands they love.
