Earth Day!

Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970, so this year marks the 50th anniversary. Why not celebrate by getting outside? Here are a few fun outdoor activities:

1. Loose Parts Walk – Go on a nature walk and look for fun items to collect such as leaves, pinecones, seeds, etc. Once you have collected your items, use them to make a fairy village or nature art.
2. Make a bird feeder – Get crafty and recycle materials from your house to make a bird feeder.
3. Rainbow Photo Scavenger Hunt – Can you find all the colors of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple?
4. Create your own Story Stones – Use your imagination to turn stones into characters in your own story.
5. Backyard Camping – Enjoy the fresh air and family time while camping in your own backyard.
