Welcome The New NLI Director, Deepti Adlakha!
Founding Director Robin Moore will enter phased retirement, July 2021. Deepti Adlakha, PhD, will become the new Director and assume Robin’s faculty position in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (LAEP), August 2021, working closely with co-founder Nilda Cosco, PhD, Director of Programs. Dr. Adlakha holds degrees in architecture and urban design, and a PhD in public health.
New Outdoor Play and Learning Environment!
April 2021, the Child Development Center, St. John’s Lutheran Church, Salisbury, NC, opened a new outdoor environment designed by NLI, with spaces serving infants through school-aged. Visionary leadership, dedicated volunteers, strong community support, and a superb contractor converted a parking lot into engaging children’s spaces. Local story.
Happy Father’s Day!! On June 20th, spend time with your dad exploring nature and celebrate other paternal relations in your life and surroundings (pets included).
