Children’s Creative Center

Children’s Creative Center installed a primary pathway with an arbor with climbing vines for the children to enjoy. Other enhancements include trikes, outdoor storage, a sandbox, an improved multipurpose lawn area, and a multipurpose low deck. Trees were planted by the sandbox, the looped primary pathway, and the decks to provide shade in the outdoor environment. In addition, a newly installed raised garden bed was added to the area to encourage gardening and learning about fruit, vegetables, and plants.

Everett’s Elementary S.T.E.M. Academy

Everett’s Elementary STEM Academy installed a primary pathway and wheeled toy bridge to the existing primary pathway. Near the pathway, a tree was planted and a looped bench was constructed around the tree, offering opportunities for social interaction. Picnic tables, benches, and mushroom pods were implemented, inviting either quiet time and/or conversations with friends. Other enhancements include a raised garden bed, vine house (pergola), large sandbox, playhouse, mud kitchen, paint wall, water play, and teepee.

Hollister Elementary Leadership Academy

Hollister Elementary Leadership Academy added trees around the outdoor space, offering a more naturalized and shaded environment. A raised garden bed was installed for children to explore and garden in. A nearby grassy mound for active play was added for children to roll, slide, and run down. The newly added earth play activity tables, sand play with benches, a teepee, balance beam, a multipurpose deck, and a primary pathway with an arbor will give children a multitude of choices to connect with the natural outside environment.

Haliwa-Saponi Day Care Center Enhancements include a sandbox, raised garden bed, trees, trikes, a drum set, along with a primary pathway that leads to a large multipurpose space with a paved floor and ten mushroom pods. The infant/toddler/two outdoor learning environment comprises a tummy time activity center, balance beam, and four stepping stools.

J & J Child Care & Learning Center

J & J Child Care & Learning Center has diversified its outdoor learning environment with a variety of play and learning settings. They have added a primary pathway with two newly constructed arbors with climbing vines. A multipurpose lawn has been established for endless possibilities. In a corner stands a low deck with seating. Here children can gather and work together in small groups; socialize, complete an art project, read, or listen to a book being read. The possibilities are endless. In addition, a mud kitchen and raised garden beds were installed for children to enjoy.

The infant area now offers a beautiful deck, pergola, and swing. The space has been naturalized with shrubs, herbs, and flowers. Making it a wonderful place for infants to experience the beauty of nature.

Kingdom Kids Day Care Center installed a primary pathway underneath an existing multipurpose structure with newly added picnic tables. A primary pathway was completed along with wheeled toy storage, a multipurpose deck, and a wooden playhouse. Additionally, raised garden beds, trees, and a beautiful arched metal “pergola” vine house were installed to transform the outdoor space.

Just for Kids Child Care Center replaced the surfacing and fall zone border underneath the manufactured play equipment. A primary pathway was added as well as trikes and a wheeled toy storage unit. A low multi-purpose deck and sandbox were built for the center to use for play and learning opportunities. Thirteen trees were planted to provide shade and more naturalized play areas for children.

Hodgestown Lifetime Learning Center

Hodgestown Lifetime Learning Center transformed a previously sand-covered outdoor environment by replacing it with mulch throughout the entire space. A multipurpose deck complete with outdoor storage and benches, sand play area, mud kitchen, teepee, a playhouse, and water play settings were added, giving the children an array of outdoor learning opportunities from which to choose.
